Welcome back! We jumped right into things this week. We picked up with our poetry unit, we started our geometry unit in math, we started writing our fiction stories, and our caterpillars were delivered for our life cycle unit! Fun, fun!
A few important notes:
1. Our musical is Wednesday, May 6th at 7:00pm. Please save the date so you can attend! We'll have information about simple costumes coming home shortly.
2. The Leslie Science Center will be coming into our school this Wednesday to do a live animal presentation called, "In Cold Blood".
3. Happy Birthday next week to Brian!
4. The Talent Show is this Thursday, April 23rd.
This week we made a class book on homophones. Students worked with a partner to find the definition of their word pairs in the dictionary, then they had to create their own homophone page!

We had a great time at the University of Michigan Museum of Art. The theme was "fish", we walked around and viewed art that surrounded the water and represented the abundance of life around water and food sources.
